We have all heard the statement that God never changes. Can it really be true that He never changes? We live in a world that is experiencing change at a rate that has never been seen before. Change is constantly happening around us. But as believers we have a constant – the Word – and the Word is more vital than anything. God’s Word sets our beliefs. God’s Word feeds our beliefs. God’s Word strengthens our beliefs. To a believer, the Word is more vital than air itself.
Psalm 119:105 in the New Living Translations says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” How important is God’s Word to you?
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” Psalm 119:11 (KJV). Putting the Word in our hearts is what will help us to not sin against God. It helps us walk holy!
In Malachi 3:6 (KJV) the bible says, “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Hebrews 13:8 (AMP) says, “Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages).”
We serve a God who has never changed over all the years of His existence! He’s faithful to His Word; He’s faithful to you as a believer. Serve Him with your whole heart and know that He will be working on your behalf on a continual basis.
